CWI Gifts is celebrating 40 years of business throughout 2021! What started out as a retail store in Central Ohio has evolved into one of the most well-established companies within the home décor and primitive gifts industry. Each decade ushered in new opportunities for growth with a fair bit of fun along the way. Thank you to all our customers, suppliers, partners, and staff who contributed to our growth and success!  1981-1990 It started with the idea of owning and operating a craft supply store. Our founders, Farley and Karen Piper, opened a retail store in 1975 in Central Ohio. Five years later, they recognized the need for a wholesale company that could offer supplies to craft stores. In early 1981, with a small warehouse and only a few employees, they founded Craft Wholesalers, Inc.

1991-2000
After ten years, the company was gaining momentum, adding new customers daily, and strengthening its place within the home décor and gifts industry. In its second decade, Craft Wholesalers, Inc., would expand its staff, catalog, and physical building.

2001-2010
In its third decade, growth continued to be a mainstay for Craft Wholesalers, Inc. Accompanying that growth was a fair bit of change. From the catalog format and frequency, company logo, industry markets, leadership, and physical location, change abounded.

2011-2020
Bold actions for continued growth and expansion are undertaken by Craft Wholesalers, Inc. The company moves to their third location. This decade sees the family-business fully transitioning from the first to the second generation.

2021
It started with the idea of owning and operating a craft supply store that, over the past 40 years, has evolved into an established home décor and primitive gifts wholesale business. Our success is founded on hard work, strong decision-making, a willingness to take some risks, an understanding of customer needs, and being able to meet those needs. We look forward to serving our customers for years to come!
